Specials - Scott Westerfeld I liked this book. I just want to note that I found the politics of this series (and this book in particular) to be really complicated. Most of the time I felt myself agreeing with the Specials. Is that bad? I guess I wanted the author to have a really novel solution to the problems he addresses, but really there isn't one, it's all just us being human and hopefully trying not to suck too terribly much.

I wish I had read this when I was a teenager, so I could be rereading it now with the benefit of additional wisdom. As it is, sadly I have no wisdom, but I'll probably be chewing over the story for months to come.
