Mornings Like This: Found Poems - Annie Dillard I guess I'm not sold on found poetry. Well, I'm totally sold on it as a worthwhile creative tool or activity that anyone and everyone can do or should try to do at some point. And maybe post the results to their blog. But as far as collecting them into a book and trying to sell it to people, and being like These Are My Found Poems!, I don't know. I mean I like that it exists, but. And this opens up a big angry dialog about whether some forms of poetry are more valid than others, and they're not, so we don't need to have the dialog. Just that the world needing something and the world needing to sell something are two different things.
