What A Kingdom It Was

What A Kingdom It Was - Galway Kinnell Weird I had to add this to Goodreads, it wasn't in the database yet.

Anyways, Galway Kinnell's first published book of poems. I wish I had loved it more, but clearly he was just taxiing around the runway here. Some lines here and there jumped out, but as a whole none of the poems really throttled my soul the way I like.

I think the most famous poem from this book ended up being "The Avenue Bearing The Initial of Christ Into the New World."
