Indeed I Was Pleased With the World (Carnegie Mellon Poetry Series)

Indeed I Was Pleased with the World - Mary Ruefle This was the first time I'd ever read Mary Ruefle. Just happened to pull the book off the shelf at the library, and really liked it. Her work feels like a combination of Sylvia Plath and James Tate. A sad frustratedness with how life is and humans are, with a thick layer of dreaminess-- the escape hatch that keeps things from ever getting completely unbearable.

Curious to read more.
